First training event of our network
📚The first training event of our network took place this last May 29 and 30 at the Leibniz-HKI in Jena.
Our 12 students received training in the Fundamentals of Programming for Research. The training aimed to provide all students with a foundation in one of the most widely used programming languages for analysing biological data (R).
Throughout the three-year doctoral programme, students will receive tailored training in computational and quantitative microbiome research, experimental science in microbiota medicine, science communication and scientific integrity, as well as insights into career development in industry (covering topics such as IP and entrepreneurship). All these topics are in line with the interdisciplinarity of the doctoral network and are intended to empower students for future careers in academia and industry.
Looking forward to the next training event!
